About this opportunity

This grant program supports private owners and managers of protected buildings, facilities, cultural environments and landscapes in Trøndelag county. The funding is intended for major maintenance work and restoration of protected buildings and facilities. The program prioritizes cultural heritage sites that involve particularly burdensome maintenance and restoration tasks for owners, and buildings where significant cultural heritage values are at risk of being lost. Cultural heritage sites that are accessible to the public for experience and communication are also prioritized. The grants cover additional costs, in whole or in part, in connection with antiquarian securing, restoration, maintenance and management of cultural heritage and cultural environments. Supported activities include restoration work using original craft methods and traditional materials, large-scale maintenance work, repairs to roofs and foundations, repairs to rot damage, and to a lesser extent, project planning and training in restoration crafts according to antiquarian principles.
