About this opportunity

This grant program supports owners and managers of protected or heritage-worthy vessels, as well as organizations and associations operating within the program's objectives. The purpose is to help maintain and restore protected and heritage vessels according to antiquarian guidelines and enable their use as resources in sustainable community development. The program aims to stimulate voluntary competence and effort in local and regional value creation, and to maintain knowledge about older crafts and techniques related to wooden and steel vessels and professional environments with such knowledge. Funding can be provided for securing, maintenance, repair, and restoration of protected and heritage vessels. Protected vessels are those protected under the Cultural Heritage Act § 14a, while heritage vessels are those granted protected status after application and special agreement with the Directorate for Cultural Heritage.
