Tilskudd til frivillige miljøorganisasjoner og allmennyttige stiftelser innenfor forurensingsområdet

This grant program supports democratic, national-level voluntary environmental organizations and charitable foundations working in the pollution control area. The scheme aims to maintain organizations with pollution prevention as their purpose, ensuring voluntary engagement and strengthening participation in environmental issues at local, regional and national levels based on professional insight. The program also seeks to influence production and consumption patterns by building and disseminating knowledge about environmentally friendly production and consumption, and stimulating sustainable practices in business, households and public operations. The operating grants are specifically designated for two organizations: Norsk vannforening (Norwegian Water Association) and Norsk forening mot støy (Norwegian Association Against Noise). Grant amounts are determined based on assessment of the organizations' activity levels nationally and locally, their finances, alternative financing opportunities, and membership numbers.
