This grant supports hospitalization (job shadowing) arrangements between training supervisors in schools and apprenticeship companies in Oslo. The program is part of Dekomp yrkesfag (Decentralized scheme for competence development in vocational subjects) for the 2023-2024 school year. The purpose is to facilitate mutual exchange of knowledge and experience between training supervisors in schools and apprenticeship companies, including vocational teachers, instructors, and professional leaders within vocational education and training. The program aims to strengthen collaboration between schools and working life in Oslo, which is important for securing practical placements for students in vocational specialization and apprenticeship positions for trainees on their way to trade and journeyman certificates. The grant is administered by the Education Agency, Department of Vocational Training, and targets training supervisors in training offices and independent apprenticeship companies in Oslo. Support is provided for hospitalization in upper secondary schools for instructors and professional leaders in apprenticeship companies.
