Tilskudd til kommunale kulturmiljøplaner (KIK)

This grant provides funding for municipalities to develop municipal cultural environment plans (kulturmiljøplaner). The funding comes from the Directorate for Cultural Heritage (Riksantikvaren) but is administered by the county municipality. The cultural environment plan aims to prevent the loss of cultural heritage sites and ensure that cultural heritage is used as a resource in community development. Municipalities define which cultural monuments are worth preserving and should be included in their cultural environment plan. The plan provides a good knowledge base for planning and building case processing in each municipality and can also be an important basis for the development of business and tourism. Eligible municipalities include those without a cultural environment plan who wish to start the work, those with an older and outdated plan who wish to update it, merged municipalities that need to coordinate plans, and municipalities that previously received support but have not completed the plan due to resource reasons.
