Oslo kommune's grant program supports music activities among children, youth, and amateurs, and aims to facilitate active participation in the city's music life and stimulate engagement and personal development. The grant is available for choirs, bands, and orchestras in Oslo. Applications must include activity descriptions, budgets, action plans, and confirmed number of registered and active members from the previous year with age composition. Organizations apply through their respective federations (Norges Korforbund Oslo-Akershus, Norges Musikkorps Forbund Øst, or Oslo Musikkråd), and unaffiliated groups apply via Oslo Musikkråd. The grant does not support interest organizations for school choirs, bands, orchestras, or music activities with commercial purposes or serving external commercial interests.
