This grant program supports operational funding for organizations working with environmental labeling, environmentally friendly consumption, and consumer information. The goal of the program is to promote important tools in preventive environmental policy. The program provides operational grants specifically to Stiftelsen Miljømerking (Foundation for Ecolabelling) and Standard Norge (Standards Norway). Funding allocation is based on the organizations' results from the previous year and a concrete application for funding for the upcoming period, assessed against prioritized national environmental and sustainability goals. The Climate and Environment Ministry requires that the funds be used to intensify work with instruments that promote prioritized environmental and sustainability goals. Support is monitored through requirements set in each grant letter, with recipients submitting annual reports and/or financial statements, along with ongoing professional contact with individual grant recipients.
