Tilskudd til nasjonale oppgaver ved miljøinstituttene (kap. 1410 post 70)

This grant scheme supports designated Norwegian environmental research institutes to carry out national tasks that benefit the public. The funding is intended to provide resources for dissemination, analyses, information and database services for the benefit of the general public, as well as participation in national and international bodies where the institutes have particularly relevant expertise. The funds are also to be used for maintenance of relevant databases and operation of various research stations and infrastructure. The goal of the scheme is to ensure that the environmental expertise of these institutes becomes available and disseminated for the benefit of the public, and that this expertise is utilized in national and international environmental cooperation. Only eight specifically named environmental research institutes are eligible to apply for this funding.
