About this opportunity

This grant scheme aims to safeguard and promote nature and outdoor recreation in municipalities affected by land-based wind power plants that have been licensed under the Energy Act and are developed. The program supports measures that promote nature conservation and improve opportunities for outdoor recreation in communities impacted by wind power development. Funding is available for nature conservation projects including habitat restoration, species protection, ecological connectivity, and information campaigns. For outdoor recreation, eligible projects include trail relocation and improvement, access zone development, visitor management planning, and information initiatives. The scheme prioritizes projects that directly address negative impacts from wind power installations and those with co-financing or community involvement.
