This grant program provides targeted and flexible Norwegian language education opportunities to immigrants who need to strengthen their Norwegian language skills. The program offers a limited number of hours of free Norwegian language training with the goal of participants achieving level B1 or higher. The program aims to contribute to innovation in methods and collaboration for Norwegian language training where voluntary organizations, public and private actors cooperate together. The training should be adapted to the needs of each participant and can take place during daytime or evening hours, with varying intensity, in physical classrooms or as online training, or as a combination of different forms of education. The program is designed for adult immigrants with limited Norwegian skills who need to learn more Norwegian, regardless of residence time in Norway and reason for immigration. This includes persons who do not have the right to education under the Integration Act, or who have exhausted their rights to such free education.
