About this opportunity

This grant program supports the preservation of protected cultural heritage buildings and environments in private ownership in Finnmark County, Norway. The purpose is to ease the burden on private individuals who maintain and restore protected cultural heritage sites that serve as common goods for society. The grant covers additional costs, in whole or in part, arising from requirements for heritage-compliant execution in securing, restoration, maintenance, and care of protected buildings. Recipients can use 10-15% of the grant for project management related to the supported activities. As a general rule, the grant should not exceed 50% of the total cost of a project. Priority is given to the use of traditional materials, techniques, and crafts, as well as training for knowledge building.
