About this opportunity

This grant program supports initiatives that promote, strengthen, and make visible Sami language, culture, and community life in Finnmark county, Norway. The program aims to contribute to cultural, linguistic, and social sustainability in Sami communities in the region. The funding supports a wide range of initiatives including activities for youth, young adults and elderly with Sami affiliation, projects emphasizing Sami language, cultural meeting places, language arenas, vitalization of Skolt Sami and coastal Sami cultures, initiatives combating hate against Sami people, and projects with broad regional impact. The grant is open to institutions, organizations, businesses, municipalities, and private individuals. Projects must be completed within one calendar year and demonstrate cultural, linguistic, or social value for Sami communities in Finnmark.
