Tilskudd til sikring av friluftslivsområder

This grant program supports the protection and securing of outdoor recreation areas (friluftsliv) to ensure public access. It is administered by Østfold County Council on behalf of the Norwegian Environment Agency (Miljødirektoratet). The program prioritizes areas with high usage that strain allemansretten (right to roam) or attractive areas with special qualities. Securing is achieved through acquisition of property rights or permanent usage rights agreements (servitutt). Applications are accepted from municipalities and intermunicipal outdoor recreation councils.
