About this opportunity

This grant program supports the preservation of Norway's technical and industrial heritage by funding conservation, restoration, and maintenance of technical and industrial cultural heritage sites. The program covers buildings and production lines with machinery, transportation and other infrastructure, as well as the social aspects of industrial history including housing, religious buildings, schools, recreational and green spaces. The purpose of the grant scheme is to restore and maintain technical and industrial heritage sites to contribute to knowledge, experiences, use and value creation. Priority is given to maintaining the condition and preserving established competence at the 15 nationally selected sites. Eligible activities include securing, restoration, maintenance, heritage and condition registration, documentation, feasibility studies, and salaries for positions directly related to management, operation and maintenance.
