Tilskudd til tilrettelegging for at utøvere med nedsatt funksjonsevne kan delta i reindriften

This grant program facilitates participation in reindrift (reindeer husbandry) for practitioners with reduced functional capacity or disabilities. The subsidy helps cover expenses that siida units or districts incur when making accommodations for individuals with disabilities to participate in reindeer herding activities. The program covers costs related to purchasing equipment or assistive devices that help practitioners with disabilities perform specific tasks in reindeer husbandry, assessments of accommodation needs, and other measures that enable participation. The grant is regulated by the Reindeer Husbandry Development Fund and aims to ensure that people with disabilities can fully participate in traditional reindeer herding practices. Funding can be provided when a practitioner, due to permanent reduced functional capacity, cannot perform reindeer husbandry work in the same manner as practitioners without disabilities, which must be documented through a medical certificate or confirmation from NAV (Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration).
