Tilskudd til tiltak for å ivareta natur

This grant program supports practical measures to preserve threatened species, threatened habitats, selected nature types, wild pollinating insects, valuable cultural landscape areas, and to prevent negative impacts from invasive species. The program replaced several previous grant schemes in 2025 to create better opportunities for synergies between different measures and to prioritize actions with the greatest positive effect for achieving nature conservation goals. Applications are automatically sent to and processed by the county governor (Statsforvalteren) in the county where the project will take place. Applications with national focus may be transferred to the Norwegian Environment Agency (Miljødirektoratet) for processing. The grant supports maintenance, management and restoration activities, adapted agricultural practices, equipment purchases, species-specific measures, habitat creation for pollinators, invasive species control, mapping and monitoring, management plans, and information work.
