Sykehjemsetaten (Nursing Home Agency) in Oslo provides grants for welfare activities at long-term care homes and health houses. The grant program seeks to stimulate long-term collaborative relationships with volunteer organizations and the local community to create positive experiences for residents and patients locally. A total of 2.5 million NOK is available for this purpose. The grants should contribute to activities and welfare measures that are conducted during the day, evening, and weekends. The program encourages long-term and systematic establishment of local partnerships. Activities can include those tailored to residents with cognitive decline, cultural offerings, physical activities, outdoor opportunities, intergenerational meetings, and activities that promote inclusion and equity for minorities.
