About this opportunity

This Norwegian grant program supports water environment measures, restoration initiatives for the Oslo Fjord, liming, and anadromous salmonid fish conservation. The program aims to achieve environmental goals set in the Water Framework Directive, reduce the negative effects of acid precipitation on biodiversity in watercourses, and facilitate conservation and management of wild anadromous salmonid fish. Priority is given to nature restoration in the Oslo Fjord and its catchment area. The program encompasses two funding schemes: one for general water environment measures including Oslo Fjord restoration, liming and anadromous salmonid fish (Chapter 1420, item 80), and another specifically for anadromous salmonid fish (Chapter 1425, item 70). Funding is provided for one year at a time and applies to 2026. Applications for water environment measures must be for a minimum of 150,000 NOK, while there is no minimum amount for liming and anadromous salmonid fish applications.
