This grant provides financial support to agricultural enterprises experiencing significant production losses due to climatic conditions in plant production. The program covers various crop categories including berries, fruit, vegetables, grain and other seeds, potatoes, fodder for livestock operations, and fodder for commercial sale. To qualify for the grant, the harvest in the damage year must be less than 70% of the average harvest for the crop group, meaning there is a 30% deductible. The production loss must have a climatic cause that cannot be insured against. Eligible farms must meet production subsidy requirements at the time of damage, cannot receive compensation through generally available insurance schemes, and must have reported the damage to the municipality without undue delay. The grant requires good documentation that climatic damage is the cause of production loss and that the farm has operated in a professionally sound manner with appropriate preventive measures.
