About This Opportunity

The Tim Fairfax Regional Scholarships were established in 2008 by Mr Tim Fairfax to support students who must move away from their home residence in a regional or remote area to undertake their university studies. Recipients must demonstrate high academic achievement with a minimum ATAR of 89 or equivalent, leadership skills through academic, extra-curricular or community activities, and financial need. The scholarship provides A$2,500 per study period for the normal duration of the program, offering A$5,000 per annum for up to 6 study periods for a 3-year program (maximum A$15,000) or up to 8 study periods for a 4-5 year program (maximum A$20,000). Payments are made approximately three weeks after Census Date of the relevant Study Period once enrolment has been confirmed.
