About this opportunity
The Tim Trigg Scholarship for Glioblastoma Research has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student to conduct research related to the understanding, treatment or diagnosis of the highly aggressive brain cancer, glioblastoma (GBM). This scholarship is funded by the Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) and is offered to students enrolled full-time in a PhD within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance of $35,000 per annum for up to 3 years, with a possible 6 month extension if approved. Applicants must have completed a prior undergraduate or postgraduate science degree from a recognised academic institution. The scholarship can be awarded as either a primary or supplementary scholarship, with different stipend values depending on the type. Recipients must acknowledge the SLHD in their thesis and publications, complete annual progress reports, and present their work to the Sydney Research Council.
