About this opportunity
The Timothy L. Ericson Archival Studies Scholarship is awarded to select School of Information Studies (SOIS) continuing graduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship supports students enrolled part-time or full-time in the Master's in Library and Information Science (MLIS): Archival Studies program. Recipients must demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA, maintain academic merit with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and make satisfactory academic progress in the MLIS program. Eligible students must earn at least a B in all core classes and be registered for a minimum of 3 INFOST credits by May 1.
This scholarship is named in honor of Timothy L. Ericson, the founder and long-term Director of the SOIS Archival Studies Program. Ericson's contributions to SOIS have supported his colleagues, inspired his students, and brought many new and talented individuals to the archive profession. The scholarship recognizes his lasting impact on the field of archival studies and information science education.
