About this opportunity
The Toi Moana Climate Change Scholarship was established in 2023 through a generous donation from the Bay of Plenty Regional Council Toi Moana. This scholarship provides financial support to domestic undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor of Climate Change who have a strong connection to the Bay of Plenty region in New Zealand. The scholarship aims to support students in their second year or above who demonstrate a connection to the region through whakapapa (genealogy), residence, or active engagement with the Bay of Plenty community. Recipients are also invited to apply for the Toi Moana Summer Experience Programme with the Bay of Plenty Regional Council, providing additional opportunities for practical experience in climate change work. The scholarship supports both full-time and part-time students who are committed to advancing their knowledge in climate change science and solutions.
