Tom Hsiou Memorial Award

The Tom Hsiou Memorial Award is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in the second or third year of a Doctor of Medicine degree. Selection is based on academic standing, indicated financial need, demonstrated leadership and consideration for others. This award was established through endowed funds by friends, family, faculty and students in memory of Tom Hsiou, a former student in the Faculty of Medicine. Recipients are automatically considered based on completion of the General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship platform.
