About This Opportunity

The Toogood/Blanch Pioneer Heritage Bar None Award is awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering or enrolled in the second or third year of the Bachelor of Science Agriculture, Bachelor of Science Agricultural/Food Business Management, Bachelor of Science Animal Health or Bachelor of Science Environmental and Conservation Sciences program at the University of Alberta. Recipients are selected on the basis of a brief essay and leadership qualities as demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular and community activities. Preference is given to students with financial need. This endowed award was established by Valerie and Morley Blanch in honour of their pioneering families. Students are eligible to receive only one Bar None Award or Scholarship in any given academic year.
