About this opportunity
The Toroa International Postgraduate Fee Scholarships are designed for international students embarking on their first postgraduate study at Massey University. Named after the majestic Toroa bird (albatross), which symbolizes resilience, strength, and the courage to venture into the unknown, this scholarship supports students taking the leap to study abroad. The scholarship provides NZ$5,000 towards tuition fees for one year to assist international students enrolling full-time on campus in New Zealand.
The scholarship is available for students beginning their postgraduate qualification (120 credits) in Semester 1 (February) 2026. Up to 60 awards are available, making this a competitive opportunity for high-achieving international students. Recipients are selected based on academic merit, with applicants required to have achieved the equivalent of a New Zealand B grade or higher in their preceding qualification.
This is a tuition fee scholarship specifically for master's level students who are new to Massey University. Graduate diploma and doctoral students are not eligible. The scholarship aims to support international students during their educational journey in New Zealand, helping to offset the costs of postgraduate study at one of New Zealand's leading universities.
