About This Opportunity

The Torsten Amundson Fund provides scholarships and research grants for studies of and educational work on homosexuality. Funding is available for doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers who are active and employed at Swedish higher education institutions or other public research principals. The fund supports research on homosexuality, its origin and explanation, as well as educational work aimed at lifting prejudices and false beliefs regarding homosexuality. Priority is given to researchers who have obtained their doctorate within the past seven years, taking into account deductible time for parental leave. Funding may be sought for purposes such as project operating costs, expenses for international stays, or conference travel where research results are presented. The funding is primarily intended for projects in Sweden, Germany, England, and the United States. Research grants of 250,000 Swedish kronor and above are awarded to the grant administrator (institution), with a maximum of 25 percent overhead costs permitted. Scholarships of up to 250,000 Swedish kronor may be paid directly to the applicant.
