Transforming Our Horizons Entrance Scholarship Program

The Transforming Our Horizons Entrance Scholarship Program is awarded annually to undergraduate students who qualify for general entrance scholarships based on their early admission average. This scholarship is an early acceptance scholarship, which means that scholarships are awarded based on students' early admission average and guaranteed at the time students receive early acceptance into Memorial University. The amount of the award is guaranteed and will remain the same regardless of whether a student's final admission average is lower or higher than their early admission average. For domestic students entering fall 2026, awards range from $500 to $6,000 depending on academic achievement. International students are also considered for entrance scholarships based on academic merit, with eligibility reviewed automatically upon application until allocated funds are exhausted. Recipients receive priority registration at the beginning of the registration period for new students and may be given early room selection opportunities for on-campus accommodations at the St. John's Campus. The scholarship is not renewable, though students may be considered for other scholarships in their second year if they achieve scholarship standing in their first year.
