About This Opportunity

The Transition from Care Bursary is a financial support program offered by Oxford Brookes University to students who have been in the care of a local authority. This bursary provides £2,000 per year to eligible full-time undergraduate students who are under 25 years of age at the time they commence their studies. The bursary is designed to support care leavers who have been under the care of a local authority for at least 13 weeks and have had no other legal guardian since leaving care. Recipients must be Home fee-paying students in receipt of funding support from the Student Loans Company or NHS Business Services Authority. The award is paid in two instalments annually (50% in November and 50% in February) and is renewable each year subject to continued eligibility and satisfactory academic standing.
