About this opportunity
The Transition Year Program (TYP) Award is specifically designed to support Indigenous students at the University of Alberta. This award is available to students who are First Nation, Inuit, or Métis people of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2). The award is open to students with satisfactory academic standing who are either entering the Transition Year Program or completing the TYP and continuing in any undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta.
Selection for this award is based on academic standing. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship system. The award aims to provide financial support to Indigenous students as they transition into or through their undergraduate education at the institution.
