Transportbidrag

Transportbidrag is a regional transport subsidy program available to manufacturing companies operating in Sweden's four northernmost counties (Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, and Västernorrland). The program aims to reduce cost disadvantages for businesses in these regions, thereby strengthening their competitiveness and contributing to regional development. The subsidy covers both outbound transport (export transport) of significantly processed goods and products, and inbound transport (import transport) of raw materials and semi-finished products within certain industry sectors. Applications are submitted twice per year for transports exceeding 401 kilometers conducted by rail, professional road transport, or sea transport. The subsidy rate varies between 5-45% of approved transport costs depending on the municipality where production takes place, with a maximum of 15 million SEK per calendar year per production site.
