Trinity College Research Grant in Modern Italian History

The Barbieri Endowment awards an annual research grant to United States citizens to conduct research in Italy focused on modern Italian history in any genre. The grant provides $7,500 to support travel and research expenses for scholarly work conducted in Italy. The grant is awarded by a committee convened and chaired by the honorary president of the Barbieri Endowment or by the executive committee with assistance from topic experts. As a condition of the grant, recipients may be required to present their research findings in a public lecture at Trinity College in the following year, with travel and hospitality funded by the Endowment.
