Trowbridge Scholarship in Master of Mathematical Sciences

The Trowbridge Scholarship in Master of Mathematical Sciences is a postgraduate scholarship established in 2021 from the J & S Trowbridge Bequest to support students studying the Master of Mathematical Sciences within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides $5,000 per annum for two years to exceptional students with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or equivalent. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and a personal statement outlining the applicant's previous experience in Mathematical Sciences and commitment to applying the learning offered in the Master of Mathematical Sciences. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. The scholarship value is paid in two equal payments after the census date of each semester. Applicants must have an unconditional offer for full-time study in the Master of Mathematical Sciences and must not have already commenced the program or transferred from other postgraduate programs. Note that this scholarship has been awarded and will no longer be offered.
