About This Opportunity

The Truman Scholarship is a prestigious national scholarship awarded to outstanding college students who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a commitment to careers in public service. Established as the living memorial to President Harry S. Truman, the scholarship supports juniors pursuing graduate education and careers in government or the nonprofit sector. Each year, approximately 50-60 scholars are selected from across the United States. The scholarship provides financial support for graduate study and offers extensive programming including Truman Scholars Leadership Week, Summer Institute, and various fellowship opportunities such as the Truman-Albright Fellows, Truman Democracy Fellows, and Truman Governance Fellows programs. Recipients join a distinguished community of public service leaders and gain access to mentorship, networking, and career development resources throughout their professional lives.
