About this opportunity
The Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship is offered by St Catharine's College, Cambridge to Malaysian students pursuing graduate studies in the humanities and social sciences. The Tunku Fund aims to encourage the development of these fields in Malaysia by providing scholarships for PhD research or studentships for work leading to an MPhil or equivalent degree. The Tunku Abdul Rahman Fund was established in 2003 by the Government of Malaysia to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, who received his undergraduate degree, Honorary Doctorate in Law, and Honorary Fellowship from St Catharine's College. The scholarship covers international fees, maintenance costs, student visa costs, and student immigration health surcharge for the duration of the course. Approximately one award is granted annually based on academic merit.
