About this opportunity
Turner Dairy was founded in 1930 by Charles G. Turner and remains a family-owned and managed business. The Turner family created the Turner Dairy Employee Scholarship Fund to demonstrate their commitment to and gratitude toward their employees and dairy farmers. The recipients of the scholarship will be employees of Turner Dairy OR a Dairy Farmer of Turner Dairy, as well as their children and grandchildren. The Turners are grateful for dedicated and compassionate employees and dairy farmers that not only serve the mission of Turner Dairy, but individually serve the community through giving back in a multitude of ways.
Two scholarships will be awarded – one to an individual planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university and one to an individual planning to attend an accredited vocational or technical trade school. The scholarship recognizes individuals who have demonstrated service to others outside of the work environment in their community, church, school or through a charity/nonprofit organization. Previous recipients are encouraged to re-apply in consecutive years.
The Turner Dairy Employee Scholarship Fund was created at The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County to provide scholarships for employees of Turner Dairy OR a Dairy Farmer of Turner Dairy, as well as their children and grandchildren who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
