About this opportunity
The Turtle Spirit Pathway Award supports First Nation, Inuit, or Métis people of Canada entering the first year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. The award is designed for students with satisfactory academic standing who demonstrate financial need and face significant financial barriers to attending university. Selection is based on academic standing, indicated financial need, and demonstrated financial barriers. Using the Medicine Wheel as a guide, the application explores physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of applicants' lives to better understand their circumstances and challenges. This renewable award provides support for up to five years, contingent upon maintaining satisfactory academic standing with a full-time course load between September to August annually.
