T.V. Stubbs-Brown Medical Student Scholarship

The T.V. Stubbs-Brown Medical Student Scholarship is a financial aid scholarship for medical students at The University of Queensland. Established in 2011, it is maintained by the income of a bequest from Ailsa Munro in memory of her late husband, Dr T.V. Stubbs-Brown, an orthopaedic surgeon. The scholarship supports domestic students enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Medicine who can demonstrate financial hardship, with preference given to applicants from rural or regional backgrounds. Applicants must demonstrate financial need through documentation such as Centrelink statements or pay slips, show academic achievement in their Doctor of Medicine coursework, and provide a personal statement demonstrating their interest in surgery, particularly orthopaedics. The scholarship is part of the Medical Student Financial Aid Scholarships Scheme at UQ.
