About this opportunity
The RWE Tween Bridge Wind Farm Community Fund supports projects benefitting local people within 3 miles of the Tween Bridge Wind Farm near Thorne, Doncaster. RWE is one of the largest renewable energy generators in the UK with a diverse operational portfolio of renewables including onshore wind, offshore wind, hydro and biomass. The fund supports a range of themes including local community development, fighting climate change and protecting the natural environment, education and training, health and wellbeing, children and young people, emerging local needs and emergency situations, and vulnerable or isolated older people. Most grants range from £500 to £7,500 for projects to be completed within one year, though larger grants up to £15,000 over 3 years may be considered. Funding can be used for capital work such as equipment and building repairs, or revenue costs including room hire, volunteer expenses, and staff salaries.
