Ty R. Vlaming Memorial Scholarship

The Ty R. Vlaming Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Ty Robert Vlaming, who passed away unexpectedly. His parents created this scholarship to honor his legacy by helping deserving student athletes pursue their educational and training goals. The scholarship is designed to ensure that student athletes from Desert Vista High School and Santa Cruz Valley Union High School are not prevented from taking the next step in their education due to financial constraints. The scholarship reflects Ty's values and his parents' belief that he would have wanted something positive to result from his early departure. The scholarship is need-based and renewable, supporting students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or vocational education. Eligible students must have been participants in a high school sponsored athletic program, either past or present, and maintain a GPA above 2.59. This memorial scholarship embodies Ty's spirit of assisting others in achieving their dreams and provides meaningful support to student athletes continuing their education.
