UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarships

Each year UFCW Canada offers 18 UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarships worth $1,000 each to active members and their family members for post-secondary study. The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship program is named in honour of three outstanding UFCW Canada leaders: William Beggs, Fred Dowling, and Roméo Mathieu. The scholarship program is designed to support union members, their spouses, and children who are pursuing full-time post-secondary education at Canadian universities, colleges, or other recognized post-secondary institutions. Applicants do not need to be A+ students; the program values passion for learning and commitment to education. To qualify, candidates must be an active UFCW Canada member in good standing or a dependent/spouse of an active member, and cannot have won the BDM scholarship previously. The student must be enrolled and attending full-time studies at an accredited Canadian college or university.
