UKESF Scholarship Scheme

The award winning UKESF Scholarship Scheme has been designed in collaboration with leading employers to support undergraduates to gain experience and develop the skills they need to thrive in Electronics. Each year, many prestigious Electronics and Technology employers offer UKESF Scholarships to undergraduates from 30 partner universities across the UK. Students awarded a UKESF Scholarship are supported throughout their degree with an annual bursary, paid work experience, professional development and networking opportunities. The scheme provides an annual bursary of £1,000 per annum, paid work placements of 8 weeks minimum each year (with some companies offering longer 6 or 12 month placements), a paid-for place at a residential UKESF Professional Development Course, and connection to leading employers in the Electronics sector. The scheme also includes mentorship from sponsoring companies, networking opportunities, and support from a UKESF buddy. 93% of UKESF Scholars who have completed their studies have gone on to secure jobs in the Electronics and Technology sectors. In 2025, the Scholarship Scheme was awarded a prestigious Princess Royal Training Award for the second time, recognizing the valuable work experience provided by the network of employers and the comprehensive support that helps undergraduates thrive in the workplace.
