About This Opportunity
Sveriges läkarförbunds Understödsfond provides financial support to Swedish Medical Association members in distressed circumstances, including widows/widowers and unsupported children of members. The fund specifically supports medical students in Sveriges läkarförbund Student who no longer receive state study grants and loans and lack other means of support. Students must be in the final stages of their medical education (semester 7 or later), have at most 10 weeks of CSN funding remaining, demonstrate good academic results following normal study plans for at least six semesters, and have been members for at least one year. Awards are typically 25% of the price base amount (14,325 SEK in 2024). Applications are accepted twice yearly for spring and fall semesters, with deadlines of February 28 and September 30 respectively. Priority is given to first-time applicants, students with student association positions, those in later semesters, and those with longer membership duration.
