About this opportunity
The United States Studies Centre PhD scholarship has been established to support a student to undertake research in American Studies, American foreign policy, economic security, or American politics and culture. The scholarship is offered to PhD candidates in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney who hold an Honours degree (First Class) or equivalent, or a Master's degree with a substantial research component. The scholarship provides a living allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney's Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate for up to 14 research periods, along with additional funding for travel and research training at an American university. Applicants are assessed on academic merit, curriculum vitae, research proposal, and academic references. The successful candidate will conduct research that aligns with the mission and expertise of the United States Studies Centre.
