University of Alberta Rural Scholars Entrance Award

The University of Alberta Rural Scholars Entrance Award is awarded to students who are Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents from a rural community with satisfactory academic standing entering the first year of an undergraduate degree. Selection is based on academic standing, with preference given to students who have demonstrated leadership, community engagement, volunteerism, and/or involvement in extracurricular activities. This entrance award supports students transitioning from rural communities to begin their undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta.
