University of Auckland Academic Potential Scholarships

The University of Auckland Academic Potential Scholarship is awarded to students who have achieved academically but are experiencing hardships or who may have been disadvantaged due to their personal circumstances. The scholarship provides financial support and accommodation assistance to help exceptional students during their undergraduate studies. Awards are made in three tiers: Tier 1 includes one year of catered accommodation plus $5,000 over three years; Tier 2 provides $10,000 over three years; and Tier 3 offers $6,000 over three years. The scholarship is designed to support talented students who face significant barriers to tertiary education, including those from low-decile schools, refugee backgrounds, rural areas, or those with demonstrated financial need. Recipients must maintain passing grades and full-time enrollment throughout the scholarship period.
