University of Auckland Pacific Academic Excellence Scholarship

The University of Auckland Pacific Academic Excellence Scholarship is designed to recognise and reward exceptional Pacific students enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate degree programme or Certificate in Health Sciences. Established in 2016 and funded by Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, the scholarship celebrates outstanding academic performance combined with exceptional achievements in sporting, artistic, cultural and/or leadership activities. The scholarship provides comprehensive support for first-year students, including one year of catered accommodation in a University of Auckland Hall of Residence plus additional financial assistance. Up to 25 scholarships are awarded annually with a three-year tenure. This scholarship aims to support Pacific students in their transition to university life while recognizing their diverse talents and achievements beyond academics.
