University of Bayreuth Scholarships for International Students

The University of Bayreuth International Office administers study grants for international students and doctoral researchers through limited funding from the State of Bavaria and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). These scholarships can be awarded for up to two semesters to support international students during their studies at the University of Bayreuth. Applications are accepted twice per year with specific deadlines for each semester. The grants are merit-based, with evaluation criteria including academic achievements from the previous semester, letters of recommendation from university lecturers, and social engagement. First-semester students are not eligible; applicants must have completed at least one semester and earned a minimum of 20 credit points before applying. Note: Due to current financial constraints, the university is unable to offer scholarships and is not accepting applications at this time.
