These PhD studentship awards are fully-funded 3.5-year scholarships offered jointly by the University of Kent's School of Computing and Huawei. The awards include tuition fees plus a combined maintenance grant equivalent to the Research Councils UK National Minimum Doctoral Stipend (£20,278 for 2025/26). The studentships are specifically for research on the topic 'Digital Trust in the Computing Continuum: Trustworthy Path Agility for Computing Continuum transactions.' Research will contribute to the creation of new approaches and standards for intelligent networks and the agentic web, with emphasis on policy-based authorization, delegation of entitlements, and trustworthiness assessment of data paths. Successful applicants will be associated with the Institute of Cyber Security for Society (iCSS) and the School of Computing's Cyber Security Research Group. The University of Kent is recognized as a UK government Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) and Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE).
