About This Opportunity
The School of Computing at the University of Kent and Huawei invites applications for 2 fully-funded 3.5-year PhD scholarships for Home and Overseas students. The studentship focuses on the research topic 'Digital Trust in the Computing Continuum: Trustworthy Path Agility for Computing Continuum transactions.' Research will contribute to the creation of new approaches and standards for intelligent networks and agentic web with particular emphasis on policy-based authorization, delegation of entitlements, and trustworthiness assessment of data paths in intelligent networks. Prior knowledge, skills, or interest in the areas of intelligent networks, digital identity, authorization, trust management will be useful. The successful applicants will be associated with the Institute of Cyber Security for Society (iCSS) and School of Computing's Cyber Security Research Group. iCSS represents the University of Kent as a UK government recognised Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) and an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE) until January 2029.
