About this opportunity
The University of Regina Alumni Association Leadership Awards are designed to encourage graduate students to complete their degree at the University of Regina. Selection is based not only on academic achievement, but also on an applicant's leadership skills and contributions to their community and/or the University community. The Alumni Association encourages award recipients to become involved with the Association while still students on campus and to provide input into the Association's student relations programming. The award provides $3,350 to one graduate student per year, paid in two installments. The first installment of $1,675 is paid directly to the student in the Fall semester. To qualify for the second installment in the Winter semester, the graduate student must pass all courses and maintain a term grade point average (TGPA) of 80%. Recipients must demonstrate through a written application, not exceeding one page, their application of leadership skills and community involvement through previous and current volunteer activities.
